The urgency of tackling plastic waste
With annual consumption of plastic bottles expected to exceed half a trillion by 2022, plastic pollution poses a serious threat to our oceans, coasts and ecosystems. Approximately 50% of all plastics produced are single-use plastics, which are used only for a short time and then thrown away. With less than 9% of plastics being recycled, we are heading towards having more plastic in our oceans than fish by 2050.
Products designed for sustainability
Dolphin products labeled with our Blue Planet initiative are designed to minimize our carbon footprint. We use the maximum proportion of recyclable materials. Our dispenser models are made from durable and recyclable materials such as polycarbonate and stainless steel. Dolphin bottles are made from 100% recyclable material and last up to 100 refills on average! In addition, our filtration devices use natural gas-based cooling technology, which has been listed as sustainable by Greenpeace. The patented technology used in our Dolphin Classic range delivers over 40% energy savings compared to conventional dispensers.
Partnership for a sustainable future
Pohoda Festival
Committed to zero waste, the Pohoda Festival is a pioneer in culture and entertainment, showcasing environmental friendliness. This fits perfectly with Dolphin's philosophy. That's why we are extremely proud to renew our partnership with the largest music festival in the country. As part of our contribution, Dolphin is installing water dispensers throughout the event.
Partnership with Penati Golf Resort
Our collaboration with Penati Golf Resort, our newest Blue Planet partner, is the epitome of a truly sustainable partnership. PET bottles, which are a major source of plastic waste, are replaced with Dolphin drinking stations. These stations provide a cost-effective solution to combat the resort's annual production of approximately 30,000 PET bottle waste.
From the start of the 2022 season, Dolphin drinking stations are strategically located at Penati Golf Resort in Senica. Visitors and players can easily refill their Dolphin eco-bottles at these stations, ensuring constant access to healthy water. This service reflects Penati Golf Resort's commitment to sustainable development, circular economy and plastic waste reduction. As a result, players not only reduce their carbon footprint but also learn the benefits of a sustainable drinking regime.
